DRAFT — PENDING ATTORNEY REVIEW. This document is a working draft and is not yet in effect.

Terms of Service

Written in plain English on purpose. If a sentence here would confuse a tired Momni at midnight, we rewrote it until it wouldn't.

Draft last updated June 13, 2026 · Applies to momni.com and app.momni.com, operated by Momni, Inc.

1. Who can use Momni (you must be 18+)

You must be 18 years of age or older to create a Momni account or use the platform. By creating an account you affirm that you are an adult making care decisions for your own family. Momni is intended for adults; it is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly permit anyone under 18 to register or to offer care. Any information about a child that appears on Momni (such as a child's age or a note for a host) is provided by the adult account holder and is shown only to the members that adult chooses to connect with.

We know some families have older teens who would love to help with babysitting. A supervised path for younger helpers ("Pre-Momnis"), with a parent's involvement, is something we hope to offer in the future — but it does not exist yet, and for now no one under 18 may hold an account or arrange care on Momni.

Plain English: Momni is for grown-ups. You tell us you're 18 or older when you join. Teen helpers will get their own supervised path later — not yet.

2. What Momni is — and isn't

Momni is a community platform. We give Momnis tools to find each other, get to know each other, and arrange care with each other directly. Momni is not a care provider, a daycare, an agency, an employer of caregivers, or a referral service. We do not provide, supervise, direct, or control any care.

Plain English: Momni is the bulletin board and the meeting place — not the babysitter.

3. No evaluation or endorsement of members

Momni does not evaluate, endorse, or make any representation about any member. We do not conduct interviews, inspections, or background checks on members, and a member's presence on the platform means only that they created an account — nothing more.

Plain English: Every Momni is here because they signed up, not because we picked them. Getting to know them is your job, just like with any new friend.

4. You are responsible for your care decisions

Each member is solely responsible for deciding whom to meet, whom to trust, and what care arrangements to make. You agree to use your own judgment — meeting members, asking questions, checking references, and taking any other steps you consider appropriate — before entering any care arrangement. By using Momni, you accept and assume responsibility for the choices you make and the arrangements you enter, exactly as you would when choosing a friend or neighbor to care for your children.

5. Care payments are member-to-member

All payments for care are made directly between members. Momni never processes, holds, transmits, or insures care payments, never sets care rates, and never takes any percentage or commission on care income. Any payment dispute between members is between those members.

6. Momni's fees

Momni charges only the following platform fees, none of which are connected to care payments:

7. Reviews are member content

Reviews, ratings, and profile information are created by members and reflect only the views of the members who wrote them. Momni does not evaluate the accuracy of reviews and does not adopt or endorse them. You agree that any review you write will be honest and based on your own experience.

8. Background checks are member content

Some members choose to purchase a background check from a third-party provider and choose to display it on their profile. A displayed background check is member-purchased, member-displayed content. Momni does not order, review, validate, or interpret background checks, makes no representation about their accuracy or completeness, and does not require them. Deciding whether and how to weigh a displayed background check is entirely up to you.

9. Arbitration

Placeholder — attorney to draft. Binding individual arbitration clause, class-action waiver, opt-out procedure, and governing law (anticipated: Utah).

10. Indemnification

Placeholder — attorney to draft. Member indemnification of Momni, Inc. for claims arising from care arrangements, member content, and member conduct; limitation of liability.

11. Two entities, one brand

momni.com and app.momni.com are operated by Momni, Inc., a for-profit company. The Momni Foundation (momnifoundation.org) is a separate 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with separate finances and governance. Momni Gives contributions go to the Foundation, not to Momni, Inc. One brand, two entities, separate wallets.

12. Changes to these terms

When this draft is finalized and whenever it materially changes, we will tell you plainly — by email and on this page — before changes take effect.
