Mamas Make Holiday Magic, Give them the Gift Of Time

From the original Momni community blog — preserved from our archives so the Circle's earliest words live on. 💜

Christmas is a magical time that still fills me with the same warm, fuzzy feelings I had when I was a kid. I never realized how much my mom had to do with that Christmas magic until I moved out. I didn’t appreciate just how hard my mom worked to get everything in the Christmas spirit. The home was always filled with twinkling, bright lights and the smell of pine by early December!

I assumed the garlands draped themselves over the railing and that the tree wrapped its own branches in lights. After all the work she did to make the house look like the North Pole, she still managed to find time to Christmas shop for the family! I’m so grateful for my mom and how hard she worked to make the holidays special for me and my siblings. I watch now as my sisters follow the example she set to make Christmas magical for their children!

This year I am going to give my sisters something I wish I could have given my mom when I was a kid, the gift of time ! With a Momni gift card I can truly give them a break while their daughters socialize with other children under the close watch of a caring mama. I can put as much time on that card as I’d like and they can use that gift for a date night, to go shopping, a spa day or anything else they may want! I realize now that Christmas is hard work and that holiday magic doesn’t just happen!

That magic is the result of millions of hard-working mamas around the world sacrificing their time to make this season special. Give a hard-working mom in your life the gift of time this year. They deserve it!
