Steps for Creating a Booking on the Momni Website


Booking Steps

  1. From your Momni Dashboard, click ‘Find a Momni’.

  2. The map will automatically auto populate with the hosts who are near you. From here, you have the option to look through all of the nearby hosts or add filters.

  3. You can add the specific date and time for your booking as well as the number of guests you will bring to the host’s home. You can also change your preferred price range with the bar below. The map and list of hosts will update to show those who are available.

  4. You can now look through the different hosts to choose one or several hosts who you would like to attempt to book. 

    1. Pro Tip: If you are booking less than 24 hours in advance, it is a good idea to book multiple hosts. This increases the likelihood of finding a host who is still available. 

  5. To book a host, click into their profile.

  6. If you have already entered the date and time of your booking, you can click ‘Start Booking’. Otherwise, you will need to enter this information in on the host’s profile. 

  7. From here, you can write a message to introduce yourself and explain your children’s exact needs to the potential host. We encourage all guests to include a message, especially if you have not previously booked the host!

  8. Click ‘Send Request’. The host will now receive an alert that they have been requested for a booking. 

  9. When a host has a booking request, they will now need to either accept or decline the booking. You can do so by going to your messages and clicking on the guest’s conversation.

  10.  The host will now see a breakdown of the booking, how much they will earn and the guest’s message. At the bottom of the screen, the host will have the option to Pre-Accept, decline or send a message to the guest. 

    1. Note: If you have to decline a booking, we encourage you to explain why you are unavailable. You can still establish a relationship with this guest for future bookings even if you can’t host this time!

  11. The guest will be alerted once the host has pre-accepted or declined the booking. If the host has pre-accepted, the guest can now confirm the booking.

  12. To confirm a booking, you will need to pay the host with either a card or PayPal account. You can then click ‘Confirm Booking’. 

  13. Congratulations! Your booking is finalized.


Note: Remember that both the host and the guest are free to cancel their booking anytime before the start time.
